YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

Rabbits are herbivores

And hopefully here you will find some basic but usefull feeding infomation?
Hay Timothy or other grass hay should be available at all times for your pet. The fiber in the hay promotes normal digestion. also fed alongside a good quality rabbit mix i prefer pelleted form as this way less waste and rabbits are then unable to pick through the bits they like best. i also find a good balanced diet is the best way to combat gut problems and dietry teeth disorders.
I am a great beliver in veggies for rabbits and think the main diet should be made up from this not all shop brought veggies as i scale fields and allotments too looking for that little extr for my crits!  next is a list of veggies i would use on my rabbits and do use! some may not agree but i have been feeding my rabbits for 20 years on this sort of diet and i have very healthy rabbits,

If your pet has not been getting fresh foods, start out gradually with the green leafy veggies and add a new food item every 3-5 days. If the addition of any item leads to diarrhea or unformed stools that persists for more than 48 hours, then remove it from the diet.
